Before sifting through this FAQ, we strongly recommend you READ ALL SSB DOCUMENTS. Sorry, homework sucks. But that's the best way to make sure you have everything you need.

General

Q: Sometimes when I sex up some sweet, innocent, wide-eyed shota who didn't know a cock could go in there, we are teleported to about a hundred feet above a giant camp.

A: Most likely, this is Sexlab. You need to make sure the Race Adjustments checkbox in the Sexlab MCM is OFF.

Q: EVERY time I try to get some sweet, blushing little cutie to do things his momma wouldn't approve of, I get teleported somewhere weird

A: Most likely this is you not registering ALL the animations. Like we told you. Yes we did, don't shake your head! ALL NSAP and ALL FunnyBizness animations. No, not some. ALL.

Q: When I try to lure some slip of a thing into doing something very naughty, even though he says yes, nothing happens.

A: More than likely you didn't register ALL the animations. See the previous question.

Q: There are times when I've lured a naive village boy away from his folks and convince him to take off his clothes that all that happens is our characters stand there and moan.

A: You're a little sex-obsessed aren't you? Filthy thing! You need to run FNIS and be SURE it runs with no errors or warnings.

Q: I killed all the slavers but Asphar and his brother don't have the reunion they are supposed to have and I was really hoping to watch them get naughty.

A: You're such a pervert. But anyway... This is a glitch that seems to be more Skyrim and less Shotaborn. Try going to an earlier save and running it again. And you do have an earlier save because we TOLD you to save often in the documents and you read those... Right?

Q: I finally found Xanphat but I can't speak to him. Is he just shy?

A: Xan is the opposite of shy. He is, however, a creature from Oblivion and therefore mercurial and capricious. For no reason at all, sometimes he doesn't want to talk to you about his quest. Go to an earlier save and try again. We don't need to talk again about the SAVE OFTEN thing, do we?

Q: I was all set to bask in a world of little boy nymphos running around, but when I go into Skyrim, the kids all look like some freakish creatures put together by a blind crazy person.

A: Most likely the cause is a load order problem. Make sure RCOTS FC is one of the very last mods to load.

Q: You have so many cute boys, I want to play a girl so I can show them that pussies are as much fun as asses. Will that break the mod? A: You can play a girl. If you really want to. Some of the boys will recognize you have the scary girl parts. Most of the NPCs will act like you're still a boy, though, which might be confusing. It's not their fault. They're so cock-obsessed they see them everywhere.

Q: So, that sweet little village boy whose virtue I callously stole? After the sex, he got three sizes bigger. A: ... Weird, usually the boys grow before the sex... Oh you mean his BODY!!!

Q: I'm wondering why all the ZAZ furniture is a strange shade of purple

A: Because you didn't download and install the ZAZ textures from the ZAZ mod page you silly thing.

Q: Everyone is out of alignment when having sex. and I missing a mod?

A: No, regarding the alignments, did you download the JSON file Oliver Twisted provided (2nd post SSB thread) for the lazy ass ATF members that do not want to do alignments themselves? Granted not all of them are perfect and you may have to manually realign some of them using the SexLab control scheme found in your MCM (Typically: K, L, :, “)

Quest FAQ

Disclaimer: You should really only be looking at this if you are hard stuck on some part, browsing leisurely through this section will ruin a lot of the surprises as well as a lot of the satisfaction from solving and questing found within this mod.

Q: I can’t find the bandit hideout to find the bunny. Please Help?

A: On the road to Falkreath, near the town, there is a bridge spanning the road and two bandits. Once you've dispatched them, searching the containers and you'll find a big clue.

Q: Where is the damn farmhouse?

A: The farmhouse is Pinewatch, if you came from Riverwood you should have passed it on your right going to the bridge/on your left if you came from Falkreath.

Q: I’ve cleared the entire dungeon, killed all the bandits, rescued the boy’s 3 triplet brothers, and I still haven’t found Xan’s bunny

A: Apparently, all that fapping really does make a person go blind. Go to the treasure room and pay particular attention to the floor.

Q: I’ve found my home in Rorikstead but only 1 of the 4 initial followers have quests for me to access, I think it’s a bug?

A: Have you sexed them yet? No? Is there something wrong with you? If you go to your bedroom in Home Sweet Home. You will find a book on the bed. Yes, we gave you PICTORIAL INSTRUCTIONS you lazy... Um, anyway, if you do those scenes with the people it will unlock the quest options.

Q: Jack's quest is shown as passed but not finished, what must I still do?

A: It is finished just not showing up as such. This is a known issue that will be addressed in a future update.

Q: In Jack’s quest I went and found a talking horse with the name "Big Boy". I want to talk to it but it only gives me the option to ride it. Am I not supposed to talk with the horse?

A: You need to get on his back. Then you can have his intro dialogue. Then you'll be forced off his back by COG's incredible Scripting Foo. At which time, you can speak to him without mounting him. And you can speak to him about him mounting you... Saddle up cowboy!

Q: I've found Big Boy but can't figure out where to go from his clues...have searched around gloomy cities/and paths of lumber mills for this abandoned tower but have not found anything, can someone direct me?

A: A gloomy castle... Could it be Castle Dour? You know, "dour"? As in gloomy? Really, we're not that obtuse.

Q: Where can I find the blind boy who can see in Krusher’s Quest?

A: I suppose I'll forgive you this one, since he's not blind in the vanilla game. Go looking in Morthal, you know, the town being overrun by vampires? What you want more? Really?

It's Joric. Grandson of the Jarl. He's got black hair. He's in the Jarl's House. Most likely upstairs. Need anything else?

Q: I just picked up the Condemn spell; how do I get the 13 boys the demons want?

A: There are 13 "slots" but 5 are already taken by the scouts you cruelly trapped in Oblivion, when you speak to some boys (some are blocked for plot reasons) you should have a dialogue option that's something like "You're a very handsome boy (Condemn)". The dialogue should end with "Hold still". And then you cast your spell on them. If you try casting the spell without speaking to them first, it won't work. Also make sure you have given Tulith his sword otherwise the dialogue option may not be available.

Also, if you cast the spell on people where guards can see you, they will arrest you (unless you offer them sexual favors). That's not a bug. You can't just run around condemning children to Oblivion without consequences after all...

Q: Where can I find a "Redguard skilled in potions" for chocolate?

A: She is in Falkreath, she is the owner of the alchemy shop. I mean, come on, there aren't that many alchemists to talk to... You're just getting impatient because your character hasn't banged a shota in like 3 minutes.

Q: I found a portal key in the basement of Nel’s house but it doesn’t open the maze portal, what is this key to?

A: Ther fact that you found the key means you are an Extra Special Awesome Explorer! Go over to the opposite side of the room and pick up some baskets. A portal to wonders untold awaits you!

Miscellaneous FAQ

Q: Can I play this mod as something other than a shota (girl/futa/man/demon/dragonlord)?

A: This mod is playable with every character but will not be completely immersive with every character, but really why would you want to play as anything other than an adorable little....but alas I digress... The answer is yes. (But seriously why?)

Q: I really prefer XXX follower mod instead of AFT, is that okay for me to use?

A: You can use whatever follower mod you like, just know that SSB has been play tested and designed extensively with AFT in mind and therefore is the best option to manage your followers. Not having the "Dismiss but hang out here" will suck for you.

Q: Help my children are having major issues, what should my load order look like?

Q: What skeleton should I be using for this?

A: What a morbid question! The testers and others have recommended using the XP32MSE (XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended)

Q: Sometimes when installing the mods, I’m prompted to allow the currently installing mod to overwrite another one, is it okay to say yes to these prompts?

A: Yuck, you must be using that filthy Nexus Mod Manager! We hates it precious!

Typically it’s a case by case basis, however, if using a skeleton it should always overwrite everything else

Q: Why are the special weapons so expensive to buy?

A: You miserly penny-pincher! Well, if you follow the main storyline you will eventually have access to all of them for free. Cheap-skate.

Q: I noticed in the numbered installation guide that some of the numbered mods are missing, what happened to them/do I need them

A: Nope, they are obsolete.

Q: Why are there no quest markers for XXX quest?

A: Not all of the quest have quest markers as on occasion it would spoil the puzzle/hunt posed by the quest. Or maybe we put the quest markers in there and Skyrim didn't feel like showing them to you. It's Skyrim. Anything is possible!

Q: Can I use an Alternate – Start Mod to begin this mod? As much I love the opening Helgen sequence.

A: Very much recommended you use Alternate Start! In fact, there may be a bonus feature coming out for it...

Q: I dismissed one of the followers normally (“It’s time for us to part ways”) and now I cannot find them to recruit again as they are no longer in my house, where are they?

A: That's just ice cold. You have a big house with all those empty beds and you didn't invite your buddies to stay? Really? Well, now you have to go to wherever you found them the first time and recruit them again.

Q: Is there a way to dismiss the followers of my followers (and the followers of my follower’s followers)(Bunny’s rabbits)?

A: No there isn't! Hey, your followers have needs too and you're always so busy shagging every Tommy, Billy and Harry. They need to have some cuddle friends too!

Q: Why is Big Boy following me around? I thought he was a quasi-follower of Jack’s?

A: Oliver Twisted’s favorite delusional horse is special. When you have Jack in your group, he does follow him around. When Jack is not in your group, because he is a horse that you can ride, he will revert to the Skyrim horse script, appearing near your character. This way you can hitch a ride on his back whenever you want to.

Q: Joey turned invisible when he transformed into his beast form? And it will not fix.

A: Go and check if Joey's beast skin was registered correctly in the creature framework menu. Joey's skin is the SissyWolf Green. If it is registered correctly, I suggest that you load a saved game (you know the multiplicity of saves you should definitely have at this point in your playthrough....) before the transformation and try again. It is a wonderful Skyrim problem. If it is not registered, then you need to re-register the creature framework mod.

Q: Where is the recommended ENBoost Mod that you mention?

Q: It seems like every narrow hallway I enter that Magic Dik or other adorable quasi-follower insists on laying down and blocking the way, is there any way to keep him from doing this all the time?

A: Short answer no, use the console command “tcl” to turn off collision for a moment and get around him. He follows Assur, not your character so he won't react to weapon unsheathing or anything else of that sorts. Also, Magic Dik is a cat. It's his nature to be under foot!

Q: The game will not allow me to dismiss Jet the ghost/spirit as a follower, please help?

A: There should be at least a "kick him out of the house" dialogue option, Use it to dismiss him. You will be able to find him again in the home that Xanphat gave you, in the room where you originally found him.

Q: Does Home Sweet Home not count as a player home, because it won’t allow me to send boys I have dominated “DOM” to it?

A: At the moment, no, for dumb reasons. Those reasons may be fixed in upcoming updates. Depends on how many times "Oliver and COG are awesome and we love them so much they are the best!" appears in the comment thread.

Q: I'm not sure if the Mod is working I can't seem to find/start the quest?

A: There is no "the quest" There are, spread out over the course of the mod, a couple dozen quests. You should get a letter when you walk into a populated area. That will give you a few little hints. Skyrim Shotaborn is not about the goal. It's not a puzzle you work through. It's a massive overhaul of Skyrim. Explore, talk to people, see what happens.

Q: Does Fachry have any quests?

A: Not as such. There's an Easter Egg with her, but you'll have to find that on your own

Q: Which version of Skyrim is required for this mod to function properly?

A: Function properly? Well aren't we all optimistic! Skyrim Legendary Edition, or Skyrim with the individual DLCs will work. Skyrim Special Edition will not work. Please note you must be running Skyrim Script Extender for this mod to work.

Q: What are the requirements to trigger the message from Asphar about the House of Boys ?

A: Two things must happen. You must rescue 40 boys and you must complete Daniel's Game while having Asphar in your party. (Look, when we designed this thing, there weren't 267 followers. Give us a break!) Dismiss Asphar/say goodbye and the letter will appear. If you dismiss Asphar after you rescue 40 boys, you have to wait a week of game time. The House of Boys takes a little bit to build you know!

Q: I really love this mod and want to show my appreciation; do you guys have a place where I can submit a donation?

A: "Can you feel, the love tonight..." Ahem... We appreciate the thought, but we don't do this for the money. We do this for the endless fountain of love and appreciation!!!

Q: Where is the walkthrough guide?

A: Hah! Like we'd be that generous! We get it. You don't want to miss out on sexing any of the cute shotas. (You are staying hydrated, yes? We worry...) Shotaborn has quests and stories and plot, but it is also a total Shota-fication of Skyrim. Just relax and enjoy. The only mistake you could make is to rush through. SSB is meant for replayability.

Q: Why is it I can only have one follower at a time? I thought we could have more?

A: Not our fault! Make sure that you have Amazing Follower Tweaks or some other follower booster mod, if you have AFT, make sure that you have AFT Booster, the add on that allows you (in theory) up to seven followers.

Q: My followers keep on hitting each other with spells during combat and start attacking each other, how can I make it stop?

A: Boys will be boys. And when armed with terrifyingly lethal spells, things do get out of hand. You need a mod like this: Phinix No Friendly Fire-22538-1-46 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim//mods/22538/?

Q: In the character creation part I see 2 versions of "Sky Children" that I can select, one's description is in english, and the other is in French. Is that because one's meant for Skykids and the other for RCOTS?

A: Yes, English = Skykids & French = RCOTS. And no, we won't take sides on which one is better.

Q: When installing FNIS which patches do I need?

A: If you're using the Creature Framework you'll need the creature patch. That's about it. However, if you use any spell modification mods you will also need the Spells one.

Q: Why is Oliver Twisted so mean and callous at times while TheRealCOG is always caring and compassionate?

A: Oliver Twisted tends to channel a bratty cowboy at the worst of times and thinks he is in charge, while TheRealCOG channels that dog love so often seen as man’s best friend and therefore is a friend to all in all circumstances even when beaten down. :p

Known Issues

The quest with Yuni and Rainbow is broken. Will be fixed with the next update.

If you follow the Companions questline, when Aela turns into a werewolf, when she turns back he looks like some weird shota man hybrid. Working on it.

SSB dungeon still not working properly

Tulith01 quest, going Sub with Graym leads nowhere. Will be fixed with the next update.
